She Looks a Dream in Hot Pink Neoprene

Neoprene was one of those weird trends that I was a little hesitant about - I couldn't help but be reminded my childhood where I was forced to wear an ugly bright pink and yellow wet suit instead of my cute little frilly bikinis ("It will protect you from the coral and rocks" I was told). The smell, the finish, it all just seemed so wrong. Neoprene was just as much of a sin as crocs and socks.

It was a sin up until I purchased this skirt online recently, unknowingly in neoprene. I thought it was just a nice, hot pink pencil skirt... something I could wear to work without compromising my personality. Neoprene fear aside - I love it! I guess if I couldn't tell what it was made from at first glance, then it isn't at all reminiscent of my garish childhood wet suit. And thanks to the super silky lining, I don't feel like I am geared up for a snorkel either. I guess neoprene mightn't be as scary as what I first thought...
