Perth Fashion Festival Restyle Day 9: Bag

Red leather jacket ($8.99) | Jeans ($3.50) | ASOS tee | Snakeskin heels ($19.99 Wittner) | Bag ($4.99)

This outfit was a bit of an experiment for me. I have never been a huge fan of Louis Vuitton handbags purely because I felt like I would never be able to work one into my wardrobe (I am more of a simple bag girl). Enter this little clutch I found at The Salvation Army. Although more than likely a fake, I took this opportunity to see if I could work a Vuitton into my existing wardrobe before taking the plunge and purchasing a full blown, no less than $800 Vuitton.

Outfit 1 + a Louis = success

I am still a little sceptical as to whether I could actually use such an expensive bag on a regular basis though, as this outfit is pretty simple in the scheme of things. My outfit choices tend to already include a lot of colour and print, so I think I need to test the waters and pair my little experimental bag with one of these outfits.

I have a whole plethora of amazing op-shopped bags I have purchased over the years, but Murphy and his law prevented me from finding any stand outs for the challenge. As soon as I am hunting for a stand out bag, Murphy makes damn sure I won't find one. I was really hoping to find an amazing sequinned bag, leather backpack or even an interesting wicker bag, but all I found at every Salvos store was naff leather bags modelled on those hideous Gucci bags I can't bring myself to look at. Each to their own, but completely not for me. At least I got to experiment with a Vuitton (for 0.5% of the price) before committing to a real one!
